News Xchange returns in 2023 to support and challenge the global news business

News Xchange – the annual two-day conference for the international news industry – is set to return as an in-person event in Dublin, Ireland, between June 19 and 20, 2023.

The event will bring the global news business back together to discuss the issues affecting broadcast journalists and editors around the world.

Attracting contribution from prominent figures across the news industry, as well as politicians, opinion formers and other key players on the world stage, News Xchange 2023 will redefine the challenge ahead with a progressive conference and a raft of networking opportunities.

Under a new partnership News Xchange will be managed on behalf of Eurovision News, by the C21Media group, which owns and operates market-leading event brands including Content London, Content LA, Content Canada, and a portfolio of entertainment industry publishing brands. It also took control of The Rose d’Or awards in 2019.

A new digital publishing product will be launched in January as a companion to the two-day event, which will provide the international news community with agenda setting coverage of the business and a range of resources.

Liz Corbin, EBU Deputy Media Director and Head of News, said: “Great journalism is our passion, and trust is at its heart. How we tell the news has become the question we all want the answer to. This compelling event always reflects the issues, threats and opportunities faced by those tasked to deliver the news. But more than that, News Xchange has a unique atmosphere and energy that really inspires people to think creatively and push boundaries. I urge everyone who works in our industry to attend because I honestly believe you can’t afford to miss it.”

David Jenkinson, C21Media Group editor-in-chief & managing director, said: “News has always been the real drama around which television is built. We aim to reflect the issues, threats and opportunity for all those tasked with delivering the news in these defining times with a compelling event that provides vital information and perspective to all of those who attend. This will be married to a new digital publishing platform that investigates the business from all angles.”
